Drawing/Scratch Board/Paper Art Resource #1: Brief Introduction?

   This blog entry will discuss something that is somewhat like drawing, but instead, you're scratching instead or drawing. Did you ever want to get an eerie effect with your art work, but you don't like the material you're using? Are you having a hard time trying to get the shadow and light proportions in their correct form? Do you want to try something else, but you're not sure where to begin? Well, you can always try scratch board art! No ink required; simply purchase a scratch board or scratch paper (relatively affordable) and something sharp (such as a scratch board knife), and start "scratching" into the scratch board. The effect is a nice white/silver (depending on the brand you purchase) finish! You can create beautiful images with this style of "drawing," giving a nice contrast between light and shadows.
