Drawing/Scratch Board/Paper Art Resource #1: Brief Introduction?

Hello everyone!,
This blog entry will discuss something that is somewhat like drawing, but instead, you're scratching instead or drawing. Did you ever want to get an eerie effect with your art work, but you don't like the material you're using? Are you having a hard time trying to get the shadow and light proportions in their correct form? Do you want to try something else, but you're not sure where to begin? Well, you can always try scratch board art! No ink required; simply purchase a scratch board or scratch paper (relatively affordable) and something sharp (such as a scratch board knife), and start "scratching" into the scratch board. The effect is a nice white/silver (depending on the brand you purchase) finish! You can create beautiful images with this style of "drawing," giving a nice contrast between light and shadows. If you want to add color, you can buy ink that works with the scratch board/scratch paper. Keep in mind, if you are new to this medium, please test out the materials and the scratch art tools before going into a project (since you cannot erase mistakes). Listed below are the resources for the scratch board/scratch paper and the tools. If you have any questions, please feel free to post on my blog below! I hope you enjoyed the blog entry! Part two on scratch board/paper art coming soon!:

-Ampersand Scratch board tool kit (Wonderful tool kit to start out with! Each tool has its own purpose and effect. Experiment!):

-Ampersand Scratch Board (various sizes) (Excellent to use to both practice with the tools and techniques, and to use for projects and fine art!):

-Ampersand Scratch Board Ink set (Great to use ink that accommodates the scratch board/paper. This ink does not affect the board/paper, and the ink does not cause any bleeding through the scratch board/paper):
